My Mustang seems to be more responsive and faster with the ac on is this due to my supercharger??? or is it normal . - I always thought that it caused the car to slow down if turned on.

I have always thought the A/C robbed horsepower from the engine at least a little any way

Its definately slower. Now, this might be why it feels faster: Once you go WOT, A/C automaticly cuts off to give you performance. So if your performance sucks until WOT, once you floor it'll definately kick you back in your seat. You won't be making any more power then before, it'll just feel like more cause the A/C cuts off. Instant boost

good way to tell how much slower it makes it, is to be cruising on the highway and then turn the ac on full, you can tell a difference

I've tried that theory, I still feel cold air coming out in the summer in WOT with AC.

It does kick off the AC momentarily while you are at full throttle. You still feel cold air becuase it takes awhile for the condenser to warm up and you usually don't stay at full throttle for more than 30 seconds at a time. It's just like when you turn the AC off and turn on the vents - the cold air keeps coming until the condenser and the *coldness* in the air tubes warms up. It takes some time.

Just turn the Vent on and turn the Knob all the way to left where it's red. That's what I do to my car and it seems a little faster, when the air outside is cold.

the reason it feels faster might be because depending on your tune, the car might idle higher to keep the rpms up when the air is on to keep the engine from running low on juice... faster idle would be like, hitting it from 2000rpms instead or 1000... just a thought.
