My '96 GT just hit 90k miles. I've noticed that she's started burning about a quart of oil between changes. There is no smoke at all from the engine or tail pipes, and she still runs great. Also, no leaks that I can see. Anyone have any idea why it would be burning oil? Is it time to start thinking about saving for that forged short-block?

It could be valve seals I was burning off about 3/4 of a quart between oil changes once I hit the 90k mark on my 2000 GT. It didn't really hurt anything long as you watched the oil level. Unfortunately the valve seals on the stock heads suck.
