Just got an 87' GT 5spd, and Im new to the stang world so be easy...
But these are the things wrong with it...any help would be greatly appreciated.

-Starts when it wants, some say its frozen lines, (its been below 32 degrees lately) But i put dry gas with every tank.. Some say fuel pump. But do fuel pumps usually play games like that? It'll start one day and run fine all day, and then not start the next. Then Run fine again later...sometimes itll die at a red light and start right back up.

-When I put the car in nuetral and let go of the clutch i get a whiring noise..

- My Dashlights, Gauge lights, Defrosters, Reverse lights, and Hazards dont work...ALL FUSES ARE FINE.

-The brakes go about 4 inches off the ground before it does anything...but after warming up sometimes it feels like normal brakes, it has normal compression but wont coast back on hills like the brakes are slightly pressed on.

- Took stock deck out and put in an alpine CD player, got the ford wiring harness and all wires are connected properly, but speakers wont work...they pop when the CD player turns on...but I cannot get anything to play out of them....When I plug the old deck back in the speakers work fine.

Even if you cant answer em all ...anything would do me good.
Apprieciated.

How did you join in 1969? You are a founding member. :)

Have you run codes?
When it won't start (we assume it cranks however), have you checked your fuel pressure? If it's above 30 PSI, the pump and pump circuit would appear to be fine.

If you have slack in the clutch adjustment, the TOB can make noise. If this is the case, the noise often goes away once you depress the clutch pedal a little bit (or tighten the adjustment till you have zero lash).

For your lighting, you noted that fuses are fine. Is there power going into each fuse?

For the deck, I'd double check wiring (though it's tough to screw up). Does the deck work on another car?

haha, got no clue why it says i joined in 69' i joind a year ago..just about.

Yes it cranks..how do you check the pressure gauge? Im pretty sure it aint in the dash.
The fuse has power to it because when ever i put a new one in it blows in a second.
and the the deck was just recently in a car and fully working..

Thanks tho, out of 32 friggin people that looked at my question, u decided to help.

So you have a short in the lighting circuit since a fuse blows immediatly. That's need-to-know information. Which fuse blows?

You can buy a fuel pressure tester kit at most parts stores. They're very useful for EFI cars. You connect it to a Schrader (tire) valve that's located on the fuel rail, just behind the alternator.

The fuse for my turn signals hazards n gauges lights.. But yeaill have to pick one of them testers out...will it say its bad even if its playing games and decides to work that day?

the radio problem is pretty simple...the tape deck that was in there did not have an internal amp like your new head unit...the ford one had an external amp which is either located straight behind the head unit or on some it is under the passenger seat...the easiest way to go about this is to buy some speaker wire...like 50ft or so and it doesnt have to be too thick... and just wire each speaker straight from your new head unit to the speaker...thats what i did and it works great.
