Just being nominated is an honor in itself. It is also very cool to be recognized with the names above. :D
You ain't kiddin'!

1) I can't believe people (want to) read my $0.02, and 2) I can't believe my words are considered so "helpful" to the point that I would be nominated for some award.

I just come on here to blab because no one else wants to listen to me. :D

WERD!!

Even though a lot of the more recent members think of me as a

"Mustang Tech Stud Muffin" :rlaugh: , I can honestly say that my pure mechanical knowledge and ability is probably last on that list of guys.

Hopefully, I was nominated for helping people in the few areas that I DO know something about.

Oh and buy the way Zach, the phrasing of "win or lose" should probable read:

"win or not", since there are no real "losers" around here (except for a few of us, who shall remain nameless  )

I'm wondering where baglock is on that list, although he's only been showing up frequently as of lately, he's given lots of suspention insight to all... even though i think everybody on that list deserves it and has helped us all, i like baglock's vs. joe's engine discussions lately... i think we need more information on this mexican block though, haven't found much info on it, but some.

i want more votes though, i think rob and paul helped me more earlier in the year, then there was oinks engine work then interior stuff along with jr's work, rio5.0 painted his own car and put those drift r's WOW, and everybody else did awesome stuff too

Wow...like last year tough to choose one person....My vote had to go to Mike...The guy is one tough act to follow... :D He gets it done and brings it to another level in all dept's to me.... :hail2:

Like most of us, I'm here to help where I can....To those who thru my name in the hat...Thanks...Most of the stuff we accomplish we learn from on another...

Choosing one person is tough for sure...but together I think we do all right helping each other out....

Zach you can thank me for that lol. Nobody else cares about you haha. And i agree with the probably not you ain't doing so well dude.

Good Luck everybody!!!

I think the winner should buy us all something for our cars I could use a set of heads

Nothing against paul but he won it last year... I dont think he should have been up there this year for that reason. If theres a 1-2 vote difference between the top 2 (not including Paul) then there could be a re-vote... But then again, if you win you win, end of election.

not to sound like I'm flaming on you, but "did you fall and hit your head". That is crazy.. If he wins by 1 or 2 let's revote. That is just plain crazy. Who cares if he won last year ?

A couple weeks in Bolivia here, a month in Brazil there... you fall out of favor quickly.

Ummm, it was a block made in Mexico that had beefier mains and stronger caps. It's similar to the Sportsman block in that sense, but not quite. It's typically found in Ford vans and trucks from 74 to 82, although I know someone who found one in a Mustang II (not necesarily from the factory though).

The two telltale marks are the "HECHO IN MEXICO" cast into the lifter valley and an un-machined boss protruding from the front of the driver's side cylinder bank.

Any report about there being a difference in the metallurgy (nickle content) is false. They have the exact same content as the stateside blocks. That's a damn urban legend that refuses to die.

With that said, the only time I'd run a MB as opposed to a quality aftermarket block would be if the rules of the class I was racing in specifically forbid them. Then I'd run the MB. Otherwise, it's just not worth it IMO. Unless you get real lucky at the junkyard, you're not going to pick up a MB at a reasonable price (unless the seller is ignorant of what he has).
