Has anyone ever thought of having a stangnet gathering where we all get together and just...what stangers do. Uhmmmm - Just thinking out loud. Peace

Talked about 98 times last year. Failed every attempt. I'm still up for it whenever we decide to do it

Same with me. I know a buch of my friends with stangs would go too, if it was in the pa/nj/md area.

Well if its stangnet, itll be big so I would be down for the drive. We should do a corral vs stangnet track event.

The problem is how spread out everyone is. I could see doing a meet in NJ(ATCO), id throw the car on a trailer and cruise out there, but i cant imagine going to much further. It would be a good location for the New englanders, NY guys, PA, NJ, etc etc.

It'll never happen tho, unless someone takes control and plans it out.

Completely agreed with you. Dealing with hotel reservations for everyone, bookings for whatever, track time and other activities is a lot to take care of...and IF one person were to actually take on the responsibility, and people were to back out....that one person would probably be in a big heap of ****. It's something that would have to be seriously planned....perhaps if everyone who could DEFINITELY make it were to put a downpayment with the member who'll do the planning, it would be easier for him to book ahead of time.

But unless that security exists, it'll be a long time before Wystang and Caldwell get to meet and hug...

I started to look into doing one at my local track (western PA) but they wouldn't respond to my request. Our local stang site is trying to rent it next year, and if that happens I think it'd be doable to hold an event there. I'll keep trying, but its not an easy thing to setup.

Yeah, I remember that quite well Paul. T'was a good effort

But as we spoke of last year, it'll be a hard thing to plan. Not impossible, but hard.

has anyone ever heard of H20 fest?

It is a volkswagen meet run by vwvorex.com

It takes place an entire weekend the end of september in Ocean City, Maryland.

I went with my freinds who have v dubs this year. It was awesome. There is a 2 day show and tons of crusing at night. There were cars form canada, florida, maine, new york, kentucky, and even some were shipped over from europe. By far the best car event i have ever been to.

They also have Waterfest at englishtown and several other events across the country. If volkswagens and their forums can do it, why cant we?

Screw the track. Let's cruise the streets. They can't stop 1000 of us.
