Well, after 2 1/2 weeks (one week of down time do to a stripped bolt) I got the Kenne Bell 9psi kit up and running. The only thing I have left to do is install the guage pods which I will do tomorrow night.
So tonight, after checking all of the connections and fluid levels and plugging the computer back in, it was time to fire her up. The first 2 or 3 tries she would try to start but wouldn't. Then on the 4th time it started but was really rough. Then after about 30 seconds it cut off but I had no check engine lights or anyting. So I fired it up again and it sounded rough again but then it smoothed out and idled nicely. I did notice some light smoke coming up from the driver side but I think that was antifreeze burning off that was spilled in the "backfilling" part of the intercooling system. So I decided to take her for a spin. My "check coolant" light came on after about a block so I came back home and the coolant in my radiator was low and I noticed a leak coming from my new Fulidyne Radiator. I am going to tighten the drain plug on it tomorrow and see if that fixes the problem. On my drive though I did notice that the idle was all over the place. At one point it was idling at like 2K rpm's. I also noticed a very distinct "whisling" sound (not the supercharger whine) but a high pitched whisling. I think it may be the accufab throttle body. Does anyone else's whisle? I think the idling problem I can adjust on the throttle body.
I will post pics soon. I can't wait to actually be able to get on it and feel the power. It felt strong...like it was just begging me to punch it.
