Starter Install?????

do it yourself

a set of wrenches or a ratchet and some sockets (metric) is all you really need, and jack stands of course

it'll take you a good couple of hours to do it since you've never done it, but once you do you'll be able to do it again in half the time or faster. not much you can mess up too bad replacing a starter (disconnect neg. batt. terminal)

btw,
are you positive it's the starter that's bad? did you check all the wires, fuses and relays?

youll need to know a trick on the starter. there are three bolts holding it on, two on top one on bottom. the bottom is easy just take it off. the top two use a long extension (like two feet) and a swivle with the socket on the end and go through where the motor mount and the k-member are. it is a straight shot. its a pain the first but then its pretty easy. also i only put back on two of the bolt on the top and bottom. hope that helps :nice:

It's extremely easy. If you just look at where the starter is, you'll be able to tell what bolts are holding it in, and once they are out, just take it out and you'll know how to put it back in.

thats the easiest way i found to,and ive had my transmission out twice already.the first time took a long time but then i did it through the k member thing and if only took about 30 minutes
