I have a 66 coupe and my starter stays running even after I turn the ignition to off and pull out the key. It did this once before but then began working again (i replaced the ignition switch just for the hell of it anyways). Now that it is doing it again, i found that the easiest way to kill the starter is to pull the wire going from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid from the solenoid. When i then immediately plug the wire back in, the starter doesnt start going again until it turn the key. I thought it was the ignition switch again, but it seems to me that if it were sticking the starter would begin running again when i replace this wire. What do you guys think?
