ok so the top bolt of my starter fell off and my starter eventually backed out of the starter housing... i turned the key, made the sound a starter would make if it wasnt connected to the flywheel... so i put it back on in hopes that it still works... start it up, cranks but doesnt start... so i go a get a new starter and put it on... crank it.. it turns but wont fire and now its making like a clunking feeling/noise... i got another starter and it did the same thing.. any opinions?

I would think its safe to say that you dont have a starter problem if the motor is turning over fine. Is it getting spark and fuel? Is it sputtering at all like it is trying to start? Have you done any other work to it recently?
