I have a 91 notchback LX that i just recently put BBK long tube headers and a mac prochamber on... of course the long tubes burned out my stock starter, which i understand is pretty common when switching to long tubes... i bought a high torque mini starter but i CANNOT get to the top starter bolt to remove the old starter, i'd really rather not take the header back off to get to this one bolt... can you guys suggest any way of getting to this bolt, should i go from the top or the bottom? would taking the passenger front wheel off help at all? pease help this is so frustrating not having my car running because of a starter with 2 bolts and 1 wire, it should be such an easy install

thanks

If you have a couple feet worth (seriously) of extensions, and maybe a universal, you should be able to get it out.

Thats how i get mine out as well. I go in from the front of the engine with 2 or so feet of extensions. Works everytime.

+3 I went from the front of the engine. I had a friend help with lining it up on the bolt and I turned took us about 15 mins total to remove and install the new one.
