Starter question

Well lately my car been takin longer and longer to start ..(stock starter) , now it doesnt want to start and smoked a tad bit looking like it came from the starter area. And my postive connection that goes on the terminal is black now(maybe got too hot??). And lately my car has been taking all the battery power away on startup to the last level and i was thinking this might be the reason. My friend told me to get the napa starter anyone else use it ? or should i fork out money and get a mini torque? thanks

You can get mini starters that work from early 90's ford pickup trucks. I imagine V8's. That is all I know, I can not be more specific. But hope it helps.

well i tried my car again and it started up automatically ..my car is a crackhead but i guess this could be many different things that could be wrong =/

Take off all your battery cables and clean the connections before you spend the money on a starter. It sounds as though you have a couple of bad ones.
