what's the difference between a 93 starter and 94. are they different at all?

I would think they would be the same. But I don't know for sure.

No, not really different at all. I have a 95 starter on my car. I like to use www.car-part.com to fiind out what parts will interchange. Just look up your car and it will show salvage yards with parts from other cars that will fit.
