startin the car

Im wondering if it is ok to start the car without a tranny/flywheel/bellhousing behind it. He wants to hear it run before I sell it to him.

i started my car with just the clutch and flywheel on, im sure you can start it without the clutch assembly, but you need the flywheel so the starter can spin it to start the engine

haha, he didnt think about that i guess. no bellhousing.....no starter. i guess he could try to crank it old school style like in the cartoons with the hand crank in the front....haha
