Ok guys, lately when I go to start my car it will rev. up to like 1200rpms and then die. I have to push the gas to keep it from killing itself. Some times it takes three times to get it started and idle and other times it takes twenty. Then when it idles i will rev. it a little and the rpms will drop below idle and it will almost die. I changed the fuel filter, and plugs thinking maybe those could be causing the problem. And it still occurs. I just took off the Diablo Tune that was on my car. I had the rear O2 sensors turned off with the tune because of the catless H-Pipe, and since I restored the original backup my check engine light doesnt come on even though there is nothing keeping the computer from knowing I have no cats. I have no clue what the problem is. At first I thought maybe a fuel pump. But now that the tune is off of the car and my check engine light isnt coming on with the offroad H still on the car I'm almost thinking the computer. I did check for codes before I restored the tune and I got P1000 OBD System Readiness. Any ideas and help would be much appreciated.

The problem is the IAC.

Also, it takes a while for MIL to come on for no cats, your computer is fine.

P1000 is a normal code for a recently reset PCM.

That makes sense, I didnt think about that. A couple of my buddies have had the same problems on their cars and thats the first thing I tell them to change. I guess I got caught up on the no check engine light. Thanks Kilgore!

Also, since you just replaced the plugs, will you do us all a favor and recheck them with a torque wrench? I keep cringing when I read these ejected plug threads, and so I'm making it a point to remind everyone to retorque their plugs properly every so often.
