starting problem?????

So i want to out for coffee with some friends tonight. when i was going to park my car i staled that was no big deal i turned it back on and parked it but i notest that my deck did not turn on it had power and every think all i had to do was push the button to turn it on. that was a little wired. but when i left i want to go start it. it made a "click" then nothing. then a friend came up with cables and we boosted it and it started right up. let it run for 5 min then i turned it off and tried to start it again and nothing. so we boosted it one more time but this time if the cables where not in a certain place nothing happend till we played with it a little bit....

So is my battery done and the clamps or is it something more???

Could be your battery cables not getting a good connection...

I stopped at a store one time with my thunderbird, came out and turned the key and nothing.

I loosened both cable terminals and wiggled them a bit, tightened them back down and tried it again and it started right up.

ya it was the clamps way to corroded. i changed them this morning and it fired right up
