Starting Problems

When i started the stang yesterday it sputtered and wouldnt start at first. I tried to start it 3 times each time giving it gas and it sputtered but wouldnt start. Finally on the third try i got it to start. When it started it idled rough and the car shook. Does anyone know what could be creating this problem? thanks

Any codes? Does the car normally have idle load compensation (is the IAC working)?

It could be about 20 different things - need more info to find a direction to go.

Sounds like a fuel problem...?

could it be the fuel filter is clogged maybe?
