When you hold the gas pedal to the floor, it cuts fuel to the injectors. You are dumping too much fuel at start up, that's why it won't start without flooring it. This is easily fixed with a tune. They can cut down on the injector pulse width at start up.

You can use a PMS, or a TwEECer to cut down on fuel injector width at start up or idle situation... I'm sure it's rich as hell at idle too.

Agreed with Nick again about too much cranking fuel. I would add that the issue should be worse when the motor is hot than when it's cold.

What kind of mods do you have?

Good luck.

30lbs injectors are way too much for that combo unless you're boosting it. (supercharger or turbocharger)
