Hello,
I am hoping to get some help on things to try before I have to have it hauled a long distance to get fixed!! I have a 1990 5.0 with a large amount of modifications. I have owned the car for 10 yrs so I know what is done to it pretty well but I am by no means a mechanic. Here is what happened...
Car ran and drove perfectly until the supercharger busted an internal bearing. It busted the fins off the impeller and I found pieces down by the air filter in the fender and up to the butterfly on the throttle body. I removed the Upper and Lower intakes and found no markings or pieces. I had the charger rebuilt and installed it back on the car and now have a running issue. It almost seems like it lost its tune or maybe the MAF is messed up? If I start the car cold it runs and idles fine for the first start only. If it warms all the way up on a drive it will stall out and not start again. If I unplug the battery and let it sit a half hour or so it will start. Or if I hold the pedal to the floor it will start. I have rechecked every vaccum line I can find, removed the TPS and the IAC on the throttle body, cleaned and inspected everything with no success. Not sure what could be the issue but I would appreciate any help that you can give. Thank You
