Steaming Brakes!?!?!

Ok I just installed my new rotors and pads Monday, I have read that a little smoking/steaming is normal while they break in. It is now thrusdays and I am still getting steaming coming up from the fron wheels when they get wet (ie a puddle) is this normal, or si somethign wrong???

mine steamed for about 3 weeks after i installed new rotors and pads. i dont think its much to worry about. how does the pedal feel when u press it?

If the brakes are hot you will always get steam from having water on them. That will never go away.

Anything hot is going to steam when water hits it.I wouldn't worry about it.

Make sure you season ur rotors and bed ur pads. Look on the BAER brake website for info on how to do this.

I've never heard of brakes steaming before, mine never do that. I was just going to say, maybe you installed the rotors on the wrong sides (ie: put the left rotors on the right, vice-versa). Guess its all good though

The pedal is somewhat tight, but definitly not as tight as before I swapped everything. The tightness could just be from everything being new though. I know what creates steam lol, I was just wondering if it waws normal for the brakes to be getting so hot that they cause steam. I did folow the Baer seasoning and bedding techniques.
