Steeda pullies

I'm stuck the crank pulley would not come off. Does any one have any tips one on how to take the crank pulley off. Can you use the stock belt our do you have to change the stock belt  the belt would not fit with just the alt. and water pump pullies? Any help would be help full thanks.

The crank could not be removed it will tommorow is there any tricks to help break it loose? It was a PITA and me and a friend could not move it we are going to try agian but it would not move a bit. Any advice we don't have air tools available.

I want to help, but you are still too vague. Is your problem with the BOLT or the BALANCER? Those are two different problems. If the bolt won't break loose, say so. If the bolt is out, but the puller won't break the balancer loose, say so.

I don't know what that means.

Gotcha. Step 1 would be to put the rear wheels on the ground, drop the transmission into 5th, and seeing if that amount of friction in the drivetrain prevents the motor from turning. Step 2 would be bolting a piece of scrap metal (a 12-18 inch piece of flatbar works) to the pulley using two of the balancer puller bolts and then bracing the bar against something solid (some blocks on the floor work great). That will keep the pulley from moving. Step 3 is either invest in an impact or get a shop to do this for you.

Hope one of those options is feasible.

EDIT- You CANNOT do this with just a ratchet. You should have AT LEAST a 1/2" breaker bar with a foot and a half of handle, and I have needed a 2 foot extension to get that sucker free before.

no you dont need an impact wrench to get the pulley if on a 5sp. A breaker bar works fine, or double wrench the bolt. Ive got air tools and I didnt even use them. Just put it in 5th like they said and crank down on that sucker. Just did some steeda pulleys this way a few days ago.

You have given us some hope! We'll find out tommorow when we try a breaker bar if not then one way or another it will come off wether it be by muscle our air shes coming off.
