I just ordered a Steeda 4130 Alloy Strut Tower Brace to help stiffen up the stang and am looking for the install instructions (hopefully with pics). It used to be on Steeda's web site, but the link is broken. I did send an email to Steeda, but haven't heard back as of yet. If anyone has them, or a better version, could you please forward on to me? Thanks!

Your bar should come with full intructions on how to install it with pics. At least it did with mine.

If the install is the same; some advice.

1. Get some WD-40 for the drilling.
2. Very carefull when removing the cover that goes right in front of the windshield. Cracks real easy.

Good luck.

Thanks for the responses. I want to be prepared for the install when it arrives and do it right. Those last two links are excellent. Looks like a tight fit to get a regular drill in there - that last link shows a mini drill that was used to make the mounting holes. I also notice that a lot of people have cracked the plastic cowl cover and will take my time there.

Hey! I just happened to find the instructions that came with mine. If you don't receive any with yours, let me know and I'll send you a copy.

Thanks for the offer. Steeda actually emailed me a the instructions in word (.doc) format, so I have them now electronically if anyone needs them. Actually, a few of the links above are actually better in some ways because of pics. A good tip in the Steeda doc for 96-98 models with ignition wires, is to move the wire clips underneath the altenator bracket so there is more room for the brace coming across. I'm still waiting for my STB to arrive, but will definately heed all the warnings and use those tips.:SNSign:

I've worked at a world wide corp that had more biz than steeda, still did their their job, got the shipments out answered the phones, all with 4 people.

If they can't keep up with that crap, they should do something about it.

Sorry, Tom.

Didn't know you felt so strongly about it.

I said what I did because, based on my experience, i have yet to have a problem. I would imagine that you have. Sorry to hear that.

I'm not trying to be an official sponser for for them or justify any bad experiences anyone may have had, but I like their products and have been impressed with their customer service everytime, that's all.

Again, based on my experiences with them.

Just a matter of opinion here, that's all.
