I didn't feel any gains, but my sotp meter has never worked well. The gains are there, it's just difficult, if not impossible, to feel the difference. I can barely tell the difference with 4.10 gears and a 100 shot of N2O.

Using or not using the provided Steeda alternator pulley makes practically no difference.

If you can feel 5hp with your pants, you've got a very finely calibrated crotch. I'm not trying to dog the pullies, or those who have installed them, but for the money, you might see better gains putting it towards a tune where you should make more power you can feel.

I've got the steeda underdrives and I love em. No one bolt on makes a huge seat of the pants difference, it's the right combo of mods that work together. I think they're worth it for the power improvement with the a/c on alone. That Was the biggest difference I noticed. At idle the lights dim a bit and the wipers slow down, but unless you spend a huge amount of time at idle in traffic in the rain at night, no problem. If you're powering some high powered amps then I wouldn't recommend them. I'd give em an 8 outa 10.

I also have the steeda UD pullies on my 02. The alternator pulley is an overdrive pulley (its larger). I didnt bother putting that pulley on. still able to keep the stock belt on there no problem. Have been running like that for a lil over a year with no problems.

Easy enough upgrade. Worth it, unless u plan on adding a supercharger.

I have had Steeda pulleys on my car for over 90,000 mile with no problems. as far as the alternator goes if you use to small of a pulley it could cause problems.

An alternator needs 1800-2000 at idle to make power and will make maximum output at 6000 rpm, and will start to fail at 16,000 RPM.

To calculate the alternator shaft speed, which should be no more than 16,000 RPM do the following:

Alternator pulley size (ie 2.5")

Crankshaft Pulley Size (ie 5")

Ratio is 2:1 (5 / 2.5 = 2)

Max engine Speed = 5800 RPM

Multiply Max RPM x Ratio (5800 x 2) = 11,600 shaft RPM Max

Idle RPM = 1000

Multiply Idle RPM x Ratio (1000 x 2) = 2000 shaft RPM @ Idle

I would think Steeda took this in account when they designed there under drive pulleys

I bought a used set of steeda underdrive pulleys at a good price but they didn't come with the installer bolt. Does anyone have a bolt for sale or know the exact length and thread size of the installer bolt? It's for an 04 GT.

You'll want either an ARP part:

ARP 156-2501 - ARP Balancer Bolt Kits - summitracing.com

or to go to the dealer and get a new TTY unit. The TTY parts are one-time use only. The ARP bolt can be re-used many times.

Is this the bolt to start the pulley onto the motor before switching to the original sizebolt?

Anyone have an actual steeda UD pulley installer bolt and can measure the length and thread size? Or have one they are not using and can lend me or sell me?
