I am considering a Steeda or a Magnaflow Cat Back for my 04 Cobra. Any opinions? I do not want it to sound like a kids GT and to get dirty looks in traffic (unless I am doing something stupid). I do not want a drone at cruise. Deep clean sound yes, crackle pop, back off, no

go with the magnaflows, I have them on 2 of my cobras, and I love them

I'll second that. I've got Magnaflows on my 99 Cobra and they're great. Loud but not obnoxious.

I think Magnaflow is the way to go, they sound the best my .02.

I run the Steeda cat-back (Borla) and love it. Not to loud or obnoxious and it has that nice rumble on decel. Also top quality with no fitment issues. Of course I came from a Mustang using both Dynomax and Mac so just about anything is an improvement in quality and sound.

I run steeda with akook longtubes and catted h pipe and it sounds good on a 2001 cobra,but if I just wanted a catback I would go with magapack on a gt and magnaflows on a cobra The steeda will be pretty qiet with just catback,I had a gt with magnapacs and it was sweet If you are going with other exhaust mods packs may be too loud for you,just some thoughts hope it helps

Yes, http://www.completeexhaust.com/. Call them and ask for Jack the muffler man. I saw it on a forum and called them and it was legit. I ordered mine yesterday morning. This was by far the best deal I have heard of.

I can't find a 99-01 catback on complete exhaust's website ..


So, I was just on the MagnaFlow website looking up the part# for the 99-01 cobra catback .. And I see that Magnaflow's 99-01 part number is identical to the 03 cobra catback.. (part # 15644) .. Is it me, or is this strange considering the 03 is supercharged ??

Yes, the fact that the '03 is supercharged has nothing to do with it. That particular catback will work with any of the 99/01 & 03/04 Cobras because they all utilize the IRS (from the factory anyways -LOL).
It's all about how the exhaust was designed to run under the IRS in these vehicles, check out some "underneath" car pics & it will help better explain things...

Well if thats all you want is sound, then get that. But if you actually want to make HP then you better look into something else.

I ordered the Magnaflow yesterday as well.. thier price went up to 320 but it was still the best I've found after lookin around for two days on the net..

He has only a few left..

Steeda vs. Magnaflow

Do they both have the slide-on style tips? I'd like to get the new rolled edge tips from MRT.
