I would only buy/run aluminum pulleys. They will not rust like the steel ones... in aheavy pig like mine I'll also take every pound or two I can drop.
Steel... I drive my car a lot so I do not want to worry about the aluminums wearing on me... my steel ones show quite a bit of wear on the WP pulley after 65k miles...
Hmmm... I've had mine on since 1999 and they look as good as they did when I bought them.
Grady, I would suspect that the OEM use steel because its likely cheaper than aluminum to make.

OMG please spare me...lets say they save $.03 on each GT they built, and lets go further out on a limb and say they build 250,000...so for $7500 they could rate the car 10hp higher (flywheel obviously)...it would be in their best interest to sell one extra car and make up the difference...
