Okay how many turns does it take to get the wheels cranked all the way to the right and to the left from the center on a powersteering box for a 69. I need to know this because I am putting up my steering linkages and I want to make sure that they are centered along with the steering wheel. The sooner the better so I can finish this crap up and get her on the road this weekend.

Basically, Mustang power steering boxes are a 4 turn box. I can't say exactly what it would be on your car, due to steering stops and production differences, but you should have about 4 turns to your steering wheel.

I don't know the exact number of turns for your box. The way I determined the center on mine was I simply started at lock on the left and turned it all the way right counting the turns. Then I divided that number in half.

Yeah you guys were right on, it was 4 turns. Thanks I kinda figured that was the way to do it, just wanted to check. You can never be too careful sometimes. Know what I mean?
