If I remember correctly, two bolts and four nuts, or just 6 nuts and then undo the steering shaft from the rack along with a few wiring connections, and it''s out.

To replace the fuel pump:

take the two tank straps off (two 14mm bolts if I remember correctly) making sure to have a jack under the tank

unbolt the filler tube from the tank (one 10mm bolt) and pull it from the tank, making sure not to rip the seal ($30 from 50resto, $50 from the dealership)

Lower the tank some more, and disconnect both wiring harnesses, and both fuel lines, along with the evap vacumm line.

Safest way to take the locking ring off is with a brass punch and a hammer, but I just used a screwdriver and a hammer to turn it off.

Pull the pump out, it may be rather had to get it to come out.

Undo both wires, take the sock filter off, and take the pump out, then replace with the new one, with a new filter sock, and hook the wires back up.

Getting it back into the tank, the right way, was the hardest part for me, it actually took longer for me to do that, than the rest of the process.

Reinstall everything you unhooked, in the reverse order. If the little clips on the fuel lines broke, a couple zip ties on both work great... And if you ripped the filler tube seal (don't worry, you wont be alone on that one) and you can't get a new one fast, RTV works wonders.
