I have an 83 convertible it originally had a V6 in it I did a 5.0 swap. I installed a upr tubular kmember but now my rack will not slide over the studs on the kmember. Is there a difference in racks from a v6 to a v8 or do I need different bushings. Any help would be great

There is a difference in the mounting bolt sizes; 1979-84 used 14mm bolts, 85 on used 12mm. I don't know what size the studs are on the UPR K-member or what rack your using, but it might be something to check.

I had the opposite issue with my Maximum Motorsports K-member and solid bushings for my Flaming River rack. I had to go to the wrecker and get the smaller bolts than the 14mm that I had from my 79.

We need to see pictures of the bushings and the rack. If you could take these pictures and call us at 561.588.6630 on Friday, we'll get you squared away. Thanks, and sorry about the complication.
