How many steering rack limiters should have been put in with the new rack on my 91 5.0 with stock pony wheels? The shop I had replace the rack when I first got the car threw them out. Now I am putting some miles on it, I am finding the scraping sounds while parking annoying. LMR has six packs, as do places on Amazon. But I doubt I need that many. Thanks!

When I did my Cobra rack swap, I bought the 6-pack of limiters. With my 17x8 wheels and 245's, I only needed 1 per side to prevent rubbing. I later ended up Ebay'ing the extras unfortunately.

I figured 6 was excessive for a minor, but annoying scrape. I remember reading about pvc pipe slices being used back in the last century. I’d rather use nylon or whatever the right ones are made of.

They appear to be nylon or Delrin or a very similar material.

they can prob be fabbed up, but I think one of these times it’s best to just buy the part.

I had no prob Selling off the other 4

Factory put 1/side. I bought the 6 from LMR & never needed them.
