Well, the further I get into this Steering / Suspension bit, the more I replace...

After pulling the boots off the rack and getting the inner TRods out with about a
half quart of ATF... Off I go to Advance Auto and see a whole rack for $120!!

Are you kidding me! I'm taking the inners back and get the whole deal...

Any tips for disconnecting all the piping??

Pop the shaft pinch bolt, the outer tie rods (out of the knuckles) and the rack to K bolts. Then the hydraulic lines. It should now come out.

After I re-install everything , do I just fill the power steering pump and take off??

No bleeding tricks or anything??

Also, what's that rubber piece in the middle of the steering shaft, above the pinch bolt?

Is that the rag joint I've always heard about?? I've gone this far, I might as well replace that also...
