Working on steering shaft, 2007 gt, tightened all u-joint bolts, made a terrific difference, finally got appreciate all my suspension modifications.

While under the dash, behind the steering column, Ford elected to install the so called “rag joint” there, I think that was smart so it doesn’t get deteriorated from the usually place just above the rack from the outside elements as well as grease, oil etc...

While moving the steering wheel , this rubber joint flexes, I would like to eliminate it to greatly enhance precise steering.

I cannot find any solution either from flaming river or borgenson.

Anyone have thoughts? Is there a polyurethane or perhaps solid alternative?
