steering wheel help !!!

Does anyone know if a 2003 cobra steering wheel will fit on a 87-93 mustang ? i know i wont be able to keep the cruise control/ any features on the old wheel but i want a new wheel and those look purty !

any help/knowledge is greatly appreciated !

you could relocated the CC buttons elsewhere if nothing else - so as to keep it functional.

im not even concerned about the buttons, i just want to know if it will fit at all (either with some sort of installation kit or without) Im not even that concerned about the air bag either

guess ill just have to buy it and try ??

yeah, sorry i cant help more - i have not worked on a N.E. cobra. others might have ideas for ya - good luck.

Someone on here had a post where they had what I think was a 98 Cobra wheel in their 93 and everything was functional, it looked cool as hell!

i wonder if there is any adapter/parts i need to make it work...to bad that person doesnt see this thread =)

If I remember reading right, he said he had to splice the cruise and horn to get them to work. I posted a question to him about what wires he spliced to what and I have never seen him again on the board.

can i ask a vaguely related question? in order to remove the horn/airbag pad dealie on the steering wheel, do you need to disconnect the battery? is there a risk of somehow making the airbag explode in your face? i need to check the horn switch on a 94GT. sorry for the jack.

Hey its no prob.. im not to concerned with making the mechanics of the wheel work ( i.e. the cruise control or horn) All i want to know is will it fit/ work and do i need to buy any adapter to make it fit ?
