is ther a way to tighten up the steering a lil bit on my car so it turns a lil faster i was driving a 03 today and it had pretty cool steering please help me
You can do a few things. You can get a solid rag joint, urethane or solid rack bushings, a quick ratio rack and or replace all the control arm bushings....what esle is there?
Who sells upgraded rag joints for our cars? All I've been able to find is entire steering shafts for $150-200... which is a little much if I could just replace the joint with something solid.
I've heard a bumpsteer kit helps to tighten up the steering, but I don't know if that's just because of the improved geometry on lowered cars, or if the people that noticed a big differece were likely replacing worn out tie rod ends. I'm installing one right now, so I'll let you know the results...
New ball joints can only help, same for any of the front end bushings, especially if you go with solid or polyurethane ones...
Then there's subframes to stiffen up the chassis, lower profile tires for less sidewall flex, stiffer springs & shocks to control body roll... how involved do you want to get?
First of all, you want to find out where the problem is, not just throw parts at the issue. If something is worn out, that can make a difference. That includes struts, springs, swaybar links/bushings, controll arm bushings.
