I'm installing my head unit in my '65, I have a pic of someones dash, (not sure who's car this is) he has an adapter ring under the mounting plate to fill the gap, is this custom or were can I get ths adapter? Any help? Thanks.

looks like a bezel that shaped to the dash,probably just a universal piece

Yah, it looks similar to the one i got with my head unit, i just didn't use it cause i mounted mine under the dash.

My son did installs at Best Buy when he was in college. He said that trim piece is as someone else said, just a universial part that you can buy from any car stereo supply.
