irregardless of the code, it is recommended to observe the ratio of driveshaft rotations to one tire rotation. if someone installed aftermarket gears, the code does not change.

on foxes and pushrod SN's, the choices were: 2.73 (M code), 3.08 and 3.27 (option on automatics).

It is almost easier to get under the car and spin the tire then look up the code.

Squeeeg, good point. i know SN's have the code on the door jamb - I could not remember if foxes had it there too, or if one had to look it up on the axle tag.
