stiff throttle with car on, but not off?

alright, this is just confusing the heck out of me. i just installed a tfs street heat, with a holley 70mm tb and 70mm egr spacer. when i first started it up after the swap, it ran fine but had a really loud rattling noise, tore it all apart and found that the plug on the drivers side of the upper plenum was loose, tightened, threw it all back together, and that noise was gone. timed it, seemed to be running ok, but noticed that the throttle pedal was really stiff. figured it was just the new spring on the throttle body and all was well untill it started sticking, and it would do it at any rpm unless i tapped the pedal and it would unstick. however, with the motor off, the throttle is nice and loose feeling like it was with the stock tb. i cannot for the life of me figure out why its doing this.

also, when shutting the car off theres a nice whistle sound coming from around the intake, guessing vac leak to hunt down? wasnt there untill i tore it apart the second time, dont know if it has anything to do with previous problem or not?

the only thing i can think of possibly is there was a machining error inside the throttle body and any amount of light pressure is causing it to hang up. open the throttle up and check for any burs or imperfections. and to clarify my statement im talking about the air pressure coming in when i said any "pressure"

might could be something like this, when i pulled the rubber elbow off last night the blade showed a little wear (rubbed off anodizing) on the left (towards back of car) side of the blade. ill throw the stock tb on tonight and see if it does the same thing, if it doesnt then i know for sure that the holley is a pos.

alright, i finally got the stock tb back on after a couple little issues (my 2ga. wire for my 3g swap broke a ring terminal on the alternator, swapped for the proper 4ga.). anyway, theres no binding or throttle sticking now, nor is the hissing sound when shut off there. the holley tb is apparently a huge pos.

however, now i have a much bigger problem.......when i first started with the old throttle body it puked coolant out the number 8 cylinder exhaust port. first thought was head gasket, but the whole bank holds 142-145 psi. when i pulled the intake tube, there was coolant in it. one of the gaskets around the egr spacer ripped and let coolant in the intake, and i only noticed because of a header leak. replaced gasket, tightented header, and it no longer puking, but its making white smoke to heck and back and its draining the rad, but there isnt coolant in the intake tube or throttle body anymore. im still using the 70mm egr spacer (summit brand) with the stock tb just because i already got rid of the stock intake. could this be causing a problem somehow?
