ok still can't get spark to coil (85 gt replaced dizzy..coil...ignition module)...
so wen this all started and im unwraping the old tape of the wiring harness i notice the wiring harness from the module to the dizzy was cut in half? all the wire are connected with connectors... with one lose wire... and now ive pulled it apart trying to fix it and don't no how they all go not all the colors match up .. only a couple and the plastic peice that goes into the module has 4 wires coming out.. the one going into the dizzy..has 3..are does the extra wire go ?this car also has no emissions stuff at all or a/c that it originally had so there are alot of wires that go to notihng maybe its nohting? anyone have a good pic of this? or have any idea why im not getting spark .. besides this?

Check the following diagram of the DuraSpark ignition circuit (I'm assuming is an '85 Carbureted GT):

....the extra wire coming from the module (green wire @module connector) goes to the (-) terminal @the coil. This would explain why you don't get spark out of the coil. You also have to make sure the 3 wires that go to the distributor from the module are matched up right. Hope this helps.

Im not sure why the wires dont match up, but if you need to unload that used dizzy, let me know... as long as you have a 5-speed and the dizzy has a steel gear
