STILL GOT A VIBRATION !!!!!!!!!!

Last I posted was about a front end issue ! Now it seems it wasn't the front but something in the drivetrain . I've checked everything I can think of ! Have any of you experienced anything like this ? It seems to be coming from under the console . If I was to take off kinda hard it feels like the driveshaft is loose and jumping around, but I've checked the u-joints and there fine ! Is it possible it could be my transmission ?

you could check the 4 bolts at the back of the drive shaft that connect into the pinion... they could be loose...

Thanks for the suggestion ! That was where I first looked ! They were a little loose but after I tightened them up the problem was still there !
On a different subject ! It's funny you replied (95cobramike) cause our cars look almost identical except your wheels are 10's out back and my motor is nowhere near what yours is !

If it's only while you're driving, try unbolting the driveshaft from the pinion flange, rotating it 180 degrees, and bolting it back up. Welcome to SN by the way!

Funny thing is I actually did that today just thinking it might do something ! Didn't know that might get suggested ! To bad the vibration is still there , not as bad but still there !

Man i used to have tons off vibrations on my Stang

If you have vibrations on higher speed in any gear like i used to have 70mph+ ,driveshaft is out off balance and itsgood time to buy FRPP aluminum driveshaft like i did
If you have vibration on higher rpms in neutral or any gear ,check your harmonic balancer ,don't buy New stock one for about $70,for that money or extra a few bucks you can buy aftermarket harmonic balancer

my motor is in pieces right now... but its sweet when it actually runs...
When i replaced my stock driveshaft with an aluminum one,it made the ride alot smoother, there was such a diffrence in the amount of vibrations

also something else to check.... could it be your exhaust hitting somewhere under your car?

I forget to say my long tube headers were hitting X-brace and they mede vibrations too

my car vibrated really bad when i got anywhere over 35 mph any quicker and my car would vibrate like a mother, i ended up have a to redo whole steering unit, NEW PUMP and Rack and Pinion, also my driveshaft was hangin on my one bolt. I got everything fixed and now she rides like Brand NEW!!

I had a 95 and never found out the vibration that it had. It sounds alot like the one you are having but doesnt start till about 70 mph and then it just gradually gets worse with speed. I did everything including alum d/s. I sold the car not knowing ever what the problem was. My guess was the transmission because that was the only thing I never changed
