Still having porblems with the idle

Just bought a new IAC and put it in, the car seemed better for about and hour, then same or thing again, idle kept rising and stayed in between 1500 and 2000 rpms. Then last night it reached 3000 when I wasnt even in the car. Any suggestions?

Car sometimes corrects itself but not all the time. Also the check engine light comes on and off

Can you pull the codes and see what cookie is being stored in the KAM?

Otherwise, if you can view PIDs, that might be useful. Compare your IAC DC when it operates normally vs when it acts up.

Or: when it acts up, disconnect the IAC and see if it calms down.
