1. can i pull the old motor out with the bbk longtube heads still on the motor and are there any write-ups on puling the motor will be my first time doing this..
(answered)

2. i kinda have a deal on an svt cobra fuel tank and pumps 580 shipped will this support 500rwhp and is it a good deal money is a little tigth but i am thinking i should not pass this up not sure how often 03-04 cobra tanks are avalible
(answered)

3. i still have the stock tranny in my car its a 2000 gt and can i use the 11" alum flywheel i just brougth or do i need to by a 10.5 ........also there is a alum flywheel on the car now but its a 6-bolt with a spec 2 clutch not sure on its size

i called jpc and they want 2000.00 to pull the old motor out and put the new motor in and ajust the cams for me as i have blower cams and i am sure i did not completely degree them correctly but i am thinking i can get the motor out and replaced my self and just have them do the degreeing for me

picture of my engine bay as it stands :

i do 90% of the work on my car myself: complete vortech install,k-member w/arms and coilover w/cambers, lt headers and complete exuast just never pulled the motor and kinda afraid of the tranny i am sure once i do it its not all that bad

Have the bellhousing unbolted from the motor? Have the transmission supported from below?

I just removed my 4.6 block a few days ago and its really not a hard thing to do especially since you have it so far.

I just had my 03 cobra out i wanted to try but i did mine in driveway. I think the trans would be the problem the engine would need to be on a 45deg angle to come up.i found if you remove both heater hose completely unbolt eng mounts.lift eng from front as much as u can.remove eng mounts and oil filter, brake booster if needed should than be your first 20 min header job

will wish me luck going to try and pull the motor in the morning hehe in my driveway more like in the street in from of my house

the new motor is a mmr900 shortblock (8.9cr),mph blower cams and stg2 patriot heads
i am hoping i can rev this motor to 6500rpm maybe 7k

then the little sq-trim will go back on with the 3.60 stock pulley
cobra fuel tank is on the way should get here thrusday

once the motor is tuned and broken in will opt for 8-rib set-up and od pulley and 3.33 or 3.0 pulley and new tune...

not sure how small i have to go on the pulley but i am looking for a safe 500-550rwhp with the sq-trim
i still got my nx kit so i may hit a little 75 shot on top of that.... we will see

i got a bet with 7 friends our goal is first man in the 10's (2009 at the track in may)

its me 2000 mustang gt (sq-trim + 75 shot of nos)
vs
1990 mustang lx w/nos
1991 mustang gt w/turbo or nos
1992 eclipse turbo
2005 evo
2003 nissan maxima- w/nos
2005 mustang gt turbo
1998 integra turbo

I didn't have headers on the car so I am unable to answer that, however, I honestly think you would be able to do it once you get the hoist in the right location and everything at the right angle. Just take it slow and it'll help if you have a person or two to help guide it out.
