I just got my supercharger put on and my car dynoed at 349.0 rwhp, the vortech made 8.5 pounds of boost. I really want to be able to stay with or beat an 03 cobra. Can someone tell me how much rwhp a stock 03 cobra has? Do you guys think I could take it?

well the tq will be the deciding factor there, especially on the street. how much are you making? but the way it looks right now i'd still give the edge to the cobra, assuming a stock cobra & equal driver of course , but it's nothing a little more mod money can't cure though

The cobra is WAY heavier than your GT, and if you have those DRs?/nittos on the back I think you would take it pretty easy, but as c2see21 said the tork is the deciding factor, so if you have quite a bit less tork, you will probably get beat but im not sure where exactly he would pull you, my guess would be low to mid range and you would probably get him up top, but again with those nittos you should do well, especially on the street.

Those numbers seem a little low. Is that with the chip Vortech sends or did you have it dynotuned? What's your A/F ratio?

The numbers I made are with Magnaflow side exhaust, stock mid-pipe and a Steeda powerpipe. Those are my only power mods, but I had one of the best in the business tune my car......

I was there for an 03's dyno at 421 RWHP with a cat-back and steeda CAI. He's in my club, I'll see if I can find the dyno sheet.

I'm not doubting the power of the 03 Cobra, I'm wondering about the thread makers numbers with the S/C. They just seem a little lower than what I would expect for 8 psi of boost.

lol, just find an 03 cobra owner who doesn't know how to drive it yet, took one with my car and i missed 3rd! I ran a 15.003 and he ran a 15.012! haha, he had a 2.89 60' and god knows what he was doing the rest of the track but it sure as hell made me feel good!
