i am looking for some upgrades to my stock 95 gt. I was going to put a cobra upper intake but found out i need the bottom one to so thats out of the question. Some say a cold air is useless. THen i was thinking about some shorty headers and read that that will actually hurt performance on a stock engine. i have like a $150 budget on my first upgrade/bolt on that will give a bang for the buck. what you guys think ?

I've got a cobra upper/lower intake I'll sell for $100 plus shipping and it's the polished upper/lower in good shape not perfect but good. PM if interested. And I'll throw in a heat spacer also.

Gears are a much better mod to do then headers. You wont necessarily lose performance w/ headers you just wont get the full benefit out of them w/ out further exhaust upgrades

You should figure out how to work the internet before you attempt working on your car..

If you ONLY have $150 to spend, save it for a rainy day instead of blowing it some useless mod for your mustang...

Lots of people get head over heels deep into their cars, its easy to do..

You should be modding your car when you can afford to..

That being said.. Gears would be my first mod.. But installed, you are gonna look at around $500

You can get an ASP underdrive crank pulley for about $40. Install that and bypass the smog pump with a shorter belt.
There are some other Free Modifications you can do and Weight Reduction is always useful.

These headers work well. I have them on my stock GT. Summit SUM-G9076 - Summit Racing® Shorty Off-Road Headers for Mustang - Overview - SummitRacing.com Then you can bump up your timing, remove your air-silencer, and plug in a K&N airfilter all for around $150
