stock block question....w/ No2

hey ya'll i <i>was<i> going to build up a DART 347 but figured out that it was just to $$$ at this time...

so im wondering how much rwhp/rwtq the stock 5.0 block can handle ?

the mods would be the following

AFR165's or TW heads
BBK LT's
dr. gas x-pipe
Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold
Steeda Tri-Ax Short Throw Shifter
4.10's
MM subframes

im looking at the NX Ford EFI race 100-250hp kit.

125 would be the most i would do nitrous is hard on a motor....................but a 302 should be able to take 5-550 without a problem........zex makes a very nice 125 shot kit.........

all things considered and your engine is in relatively good condition I wouldn't exceed 125 unless you strengthen your bottom end. Just some advise I got from a renegade engine builder. You could shot more but not for long.

well since the pistions are forged it should take a beating but you also have to take in consideration the crank and coneting rods arnt forged... http://www.mustanggt.org/gtchange.htm this will tell you what you got!

I'd really like to know too but theres alot of variables. I put together my own dry kit and a big fuel system for a stock headed car, trying to hit a 10.99 but i'll see what happens. Im not worried about this motor so why not put it to the test

well how much hp/tq can the BLOCK take... not the rods, crank, etc... just the 302 block....
