Stock Gears??

Hey guys, I was just wondering if there is a fairly easy to find out what the stock gears are in my stang? I know you could get 2.73's and some came with 3.27's but I dont know what I have. My car is a 1995 GT Vert with a 5spd if that helps. Thanks...

Oh is it? Im not for sure, I have heard 2.73's and 3.27's

Lift the car and put in neutral. Mark the drive shaft with a very visible mark. Spin the tires and count the rotations on the DS. Almost 3 equal 2.73, a little over 3 equal 3.27, almost 4 turns equal about 3.90 or 4.10. Try that or somebody else might have easier way.

there should be a small tag on the pumpkin that tells you what you got in it.

273, 308 etc.

Open the car door and look at the sticker on the drivers side door I forget which one but one of the letters in the bottom left if i remember signals what gears. I thought almost all verts had 3.08's with 3.27's as the option. Im not sure though.

Well I just checked the stickers inside of the door and I didnt see anything that seemed to tell me the gears, I also got down and looked at the pumpkin and didnt see anything there...

The tag in the door should say AX with a letter under it. I'm not 100% sure if this info is correct but the codes I found were:
M=2.73
E=3.27
Z=3.08 I know this ones right

Well it was AX-Z So I guess I have 3.08's. Thanks so much! I think I want some 3.73's soon anyway!

it says on the pinion gear. just open the fool up, you gotta change ur diff fluid anyway
