I was just wondering what the stock gears are in a 97 GT 5spd.

Check the axle id code on the driver's side door piller as there were 3 options available that year.

You either have 2.73's,3.08's,or optional 3.27's.
I had 3.27 ring and pinion in my 96.

I have 4.10's, but I just ordered a speed calibrator and from what I've read you need to know what the stock gearing was to set the speedo. I'll look and see if it's in the door tomorrow, but I don't recall seeing anything in there the car has been repainted. Is there a way to tell by the vin numbers or do I even need to know to set a speed calibrator?
