Ok, current on my car i have the stock midpipe, but the cats are cut out so its basically an offroad h pipe.

But if i am not mistaken stock pipes are 2.25 inch???
and aftermarket are 2.5???

would swapping to an actual aftermarket pipe would my car get any louder??

if your still running the stock tailpipes, even though you have flowmasters on there, no, it wont be any louder. youd have to have 2.5" the hole legnth. even then it wont be that much louder

ya it will get louder, but not much. the piping is bigger and u wont have the resonaters. if u put a cat back on it will get alot louder. you should get a cat back to. i just got a mac off road h and a mac cat back and it is an amazing fit. i couldnt beleave how well it went on... once i pulled the 3 studes i broke and re-tapped them and put new ones in . it doesnt rattle and it fits perfectly. sounds really good to. i got the 2 1/2 inch cat back with 2 1/2 inch crome tips (lx cat back, because the guy befor me cut the rear bumper for tips. my friend is thinkin about switching his bbk off road x and flowmaster cat back for a mac off road x and cat back.

then yes, id say it might be a little louder, I noticed when I had tialpipes, the stock 2 1/4"ers didnt sound as deep or loud as the 2.5 or 3" I had at one time. Its worth a shot because you can find used mid pipes cheap
