Are stock springs a good substitute for drag springs? Right now I have lowering springs and Im looking at upgrading much of my suspension for better traction at the drag strip and better 60' times. I'll be be getting Maximum motorsports LCA, Panhard bar and Torque Arm along w/ strange 10 way shocks/struts. Now im just debating if I should get drag springs or if the stock springs will be sufficient?

I would think running a panhard bar in combination with stock springs would be counterproductive. If you want the car to go good in a straight line save the money on the panhard bar.

wouldnt it make more sense then to get drag springs and keep the panhard bar ?

No, that panhard bar won't be anything but extra weight if you have drag springs in the front. I would get the drag springs and forget about the panhard bar if that's the route you want to go.

yeah but it helps to keep the axle centered during straight line acceleration I dont see how it would just be dead weight

Ive had my mind made up on only MM LCA for awhile now. You cant go wrong w/ them the build quality and bushings they use are top notch. With the TQ Arm I wont even need UCA's it converts the suspension to a 3 link and the UCA can be deleted.

Strange 10-ways are good struts for a cheap price. Tokico 5-ways are good struts too. Drag springs such as Steeda are good springs. They are taller in the front so they will throw all the weight to the rear. You can also get the rear air bag to inflate/deflate to tune the suspension as you want it. The bga helps the car launch harder and straighter.

I myself have never used the Strange 10-ways, but a friend of mine did. He says the leak constantly, and he is always rebuilding them. He finally ended up switching to QA1s, because he got tired of changing the seals out of the Strange struts. Just a heads up.

Ive heard a lot of good things regarding the strange 10 ways. With every single product on the market someone is going to have problems eventually. One bad review wont turn me off from tons of good ones. There are other great shocks/struts out there as well

so over all is it just better to get actual drag springs, Im only wondering b/c the spring rate on the stock springs seemed clsoe to drap springs.
