Boy you never know how bad the stock suspension is until you get rid of it!! Two thumbs up to the FRPP Handling Pack.... AMAZING!!!! The car rides factory handles much better and the bump steer is gone. The kit comes complete with everything, even a camber eccentric bolt!!!! It took about 3 hours to install and that was with some trouble assembling the rear billet stabilizer links. If anybody is looking into suspnsion get it don't even hesitate.

Did you look at the Roush suspension as well? And it sounds like you did it yourself?

You have an 07, right? Were you able to keep the factory Plenum (cover) thingy, with their strut tower brace?

The Stage 3 Roush ran several seconds quicker than the GT500 on a road course!!!!! What good is gobs of unuseable HP????? Will be very interesting to see the results of the new KR with the upgraded suspension package, even with the additional 40 horses!

Cool tommyroc, how do you like the ride comfort? I've been hearing that the shocks are a bit stiff on the FRPP handling pack - great on the track, not so hot around town.

Did you have your wheels aligned after you put in the new suspension?

I believe the stage 3 suspension kit is just Roush's "regular" suspension kit.

http://www.roushperformance.com/mustang_st3.shtml

I've been looking into it too, I haven't been able to find out too much about it yet. Anyone know if Roush uses linear or progressive rate springs? I was looking into the Saleen kit, and apparently the ride comfort is significantly compromised, in part because of the linear springs. (Although people seem to love the handling of the Saleen kit + Saleen watt's link suspension)

The other suspension I'm waiting for is the Roush track pak - http://www.roushperformance.com/mustang_427r_trak_pak.shtml
Apparently it's got adjustable dampers (D-specs like) and it's meant for duty around town and on the track.

The Roush springs are progressive (You can hear them humming Emerson Lake and Palmer if you listen hard enough....):

I think someone posted to say the Stage 3 was their competition only set-up.

I have the Roush springs over Tokico D-Specs and find the ride and handling very good. The D-Specs have the option of a softer or harder ride. I kep the stock sway bars as they're plenty big enough.

Didn't realize there was a difference. Thought Roush just had one package.

I went to a tune shop, GAS. and i asked how much it would cost to install a roush kit on my GT. He said $1,800. I aked how much for the stage 3, $2,800 installed and i would have to wait 3 weeks.

I emaild roush and they will only sell me the stage 2 but the rep said there isnt much diffrence.

Yes I did install it myself at my shop. I couldn't find any detailed information on Roush kits either other then the on a British TV magazine the Roush stage 3 had better lap times then a GT-500, being my friend had the FRPP kit I went with that planning that I'm not going to be running a round race tracks anytime soon. No I was not able to fit the strut tower brace with the GT plenum cover however I'm working on that!!!!!
