My buddy has a Spec stage 2+ in his car, 327 stroker with 125 shot and its an awesome clutch and the pedal isn't too bad either.

Ah, remember he is NOT trying to blow his t5. Otherwise I would have suggested a ram powergrip normal or HD. KC kit holds a little more then stock, would work perfect for him and keep his T5 in the case....

Yeah, that's why I keep recommending these weaker clutch combos.

I've got a KK and it's almost out...needs replaced. I've ran it for 4 years and i drive it like i stole it every time i get it out, so i'd say it's a great clutch for the money. It's tough on the left leg though IMO...my buddy's car has a Ram clutch and it grabs just a good with about 1/3 less clutch effort.

A CF Gold Class or Stage II is not going to "blow" the transmission.

Now powershifting can do the damage.

25th, I had a Centerforce Dual Friction in a 95GT H/C/I 3 core intercooled P600B Procharger with 11 or 12 lbs. The car ran 13.30's @113MPH. It treated the stock T5 just fine, BUT....I never launched it, nor did I powershift.

The Centerforce has been fine in my Cobra too, but for some reason, it started not fully disengaging, so that's why I'm replacing it. Don't know why it started doing this, but it never ever slipped.

The car gets powershifted every track pass, every gear which is the main reason I'm not tossing a Spec stage 4+ in it. I would love to grab a TKO or something, but funds just arent there for that, so for the time being I plan to toss in a good new clutch kit, that wont kill the tranny on the first track pass. I like the KK idea, and the fact that it should last 3-4 years is fine for me. By that time I should have a new tranny anyway!

Thanks for the suggestions so far!
