My stock tach on my 96 has been fluctuating a lot. The RPM's keep jumping when I get on the throttle. What can this be?

Is there a wire somewhere that might be loose?

Is it just the tach or are all gauges doing it too?

A bouncing tach needle is usually caused by a bad (correction)crank sensor. Easy to replace. Could also be a wire going to it, or bad ground.

Is it just the tach bouncing or are there drivability issues as well?
