I'm about to order Flowmasters, and I need to know what the stock tailpipe size is in and out of the mufflers. 2", 2 1/4", or 2 1/2"? Need to know quickly. (I don't have a micrometer, otherwise I would measure it myself)

Stock is 2.25".

Jon

P.S. Most people go with the 2.5" mufflers because they will eventually upgrade to 2.5" piping (all catbacks and intermediate pipes are 2.5" or bigger).

Will a muffler place have adapters to go from 2.25" to 2.5"? So I could get the 2.5" and be good to go? I'm exhaust retarded so I'm having a muffler place do them.

Too damn expensive. Besides, I already have stainless pipes.

I muffler shop won't use an adapter; they will simply weld them in. That's what they did for me when I bought 2.5" mufflers. It will be fine.

A micrometer??????? How about a tape measure? Why would you think you need such a precision device? That is funny.

Don't have one of those either. I lost the one in my tool set, and my only other one was at home at the time.
